In den letzten 10 Jahren hat sich unser Blick auf die Erde von Außen gesehen verändert. Dieser Blick ist wieder in unseren Horizont und damit in unser Bewußtsein gewandert. Die Protagonistinnen von LIQUIFER – Waltraut Hoheneder, Barbara Imhof, und Susmita Mohanty gehören seit einer Dekade zu den Vertreterinnenn einer anderen, neuen, nicht nur ingenieursdominierten Raumfahrt.

Viele eigene initiierte Arbeiten, Programme sowie auch diese Radiosendung unterstützen ihr konsequentes Eintreten für die robotische und bemannte Erforschung des Weltraums unter den heutigen Voraussetzungen. Besonders dem Bereich der Architektur kommt durch länger bemannte Aufenthalte außerhalb unseres Planeten besondere Bedeutung zu. Deshalb erscheint die Erweiterung des operativen Feldes des/der ArchitektIn in den Weltraum auch durch den neuen Aufwind der Raumfahrt der letzten 10 Jahre, die Erfolgsmissionen zum Mars und den Start des ersten kommerziellen Raumschiffs SPACESHIP ONE als logische Konsequenz.

Kern bleibt immer der technologisierte Raum eines Raumschiffs oder eines Weltraumhabitats in engem Zusammenhang mit den neuen medial erweiterten Räumen, die als "technologisierte Räume“ in gebauten und ungebauten Architekturexperimenten erprobt werden. Der transdisziplinäre Diskurs, der für neue Arbeit im 21. Jahrhundert benötigt wird, wird in diesenSendungen relfektiert.
